Have you found your life purpose ― wait ― what the hell is that supposed to be? If you’re like me, I’m still waiting to discover my divine superpowers.
Let’s face it:
- We’re not going to cure cancer
- We’re not going to be billionaires
- We’re not going to have three claws made of adamantium extend out of from between our fingers
“So, what is my life purpose,” asks no one, but yourself.
This existential question tends to pop up unexpectedly and results in more chaos and confusion than guidance and instruction.
“Is life supposed to have purpose,” asks myself, all the time.
Life is full of many things to do for an undetermined period of time. Some of those things fill us with joy, happiness, and meaning. While others are wasted on a couch in front of a TV with an empty bag of potato chips sitting on our chest.
Not knowing who you are means you forgot to wear a name tag or mom stopped sewing your initials in your tighty-whities.
Not knowing what to do suggests getting off your ass to explore a world of possibilities is way overdue.
You’re not struggling to find a life purpose, what’s really happening is that you have no idea how to use your time on things that are fun and interesting for you.
